On our way out of Nanjing, we visited a famous bridge. Orginally the Russians were helping to design and build this bridge spanning the Yangtze River, but there was a falling out and the Russians pulled out with the plans and refused to continue to help. Apparently they said the Chinese would never build it without them. So the Chinese spent many many years and taxed the local people 30% to make it happen. The Nanjing people are very proud of this bridge. It's incredibly long, the photos don't do it justice.
